Richest Indian Mukesh Ambani is 13th richest in world, Jeff Bezos is richest: Forbes
NEW YORK: Richest Indian Mukesh Ambani jumped six positions to rank 13th on Forbes World's Billionaire list released Tuesday that was again topped by Jeff Bezos.
E-commerce colossus Amazon founder Bezos, 55, remains the world's richest person, ahead of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, as his riches swelled by USD 19 billion in one year and is now worth USD 131 billion, Forbes said.
Ambani, 61, saw wealth soar from USD 40.1 billion in 2018 when he was placed 19th richest in the world, to USD 50 billion to be rank at 13th in 2019.

West Bengal: Matua matriarch Binapani Devi passes away at 100
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday announced that Matua matriarch Binapani Devi has passed away at the age of 100. The West Bengal Chief Minister said that she will be cremated on Wednesday with full state honours, including a gun salute.
Binapani Devi popularly known as ‘boro ma’ breathed her last at 8.52pm at the state-run SSKM Medical College and Hospital in South Kolkata.

Rupee gains 11 paise to 70.81 vs USD in early trade
Mumbai: The rupee appreciated by 11 paise to 70.81 against the US dollar in opening trade Tuesday, driven by weakening of the greenback in overseas markets and fresh foreign inflows. The rupee opened weak at 70.95 at the interbank forex market then gained further ground and touched 70.81 amid a weak opening in domestic equities, displaying gains of 11 paise over its last close.

Apple could be developing AR-headset to work with iPhone: Report
San Francisco: Apple could be planning to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based headset that would work alongside an iPhone to enable users experience an environment where computer images are overlaid on the real world.
The development came into notice when the iPhone-maker published an update titled, "Systems, methods and graphical user interfaces for interacting with Augmented and Virtual Reality environments", as part of an existing patent filed in August 2018, CNET reported on Thursday.
