Auli - A beautiful place to visit this Summer



Auli is a popular hill station and a ski destination in Chamoli district in the Himalayan mountains of Uttarakhand, India. Auli, also known as Auli Bugyal, in Garhwali, which means "meadow".

After the creation of the state of Uttarakhand, formerly part of Uttar Pradesh, Auli was marketed as a tourist destination. It is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests, with a panoramic view of the peaks of the Himalayas.The slopes are intended for both professional skiers and novices.


Welcoming travelers from across the globe all through the year, Auli, which is the coolest place in India during summer, is a popular skiing destination for Indian winter as well as summer. In summer season the backdrop of green pastures and snow-capped peaks makes it one of the best places to visit in India. The pleasant weather is the cherry on the cake.

Walking through the misty slope provides one with the imposing spectacles of some of the lofty mountain ranges like Nanda Devi, Mana Paravat and Kamat Kamet. Nearest railhead from Auli is located in Haridwar, 285 km.

Ideal duration: 2-3 days

-Travel to Joshimath onboard the ropeway and enjoy bird’s-eye view.
